NiftyDrop Modules v1.0 ================================================== copyright 1998 Brian Sulcer About NiftyDrop Modules ----------------------- NiftyDrop is distributed with a collection of sample modules. These are Agenda Module, Banner Module, Battery Module, Calendar Module, Clock Module, HeapStatus Module, ScratchPad Module and Volume Module. Agenda Module is a display of your agenda (meetings, events, and/or todos) from the Dates application. It can be configured to display from 1 to 7 days worth of items, and the display of different types of items can be configured. Banner Module displays a bit if static styled text. This can contain anything you want (name, contact info, quotes, etc). The text it contains is configured via the Banner Module Prefs panel in NiftyDrop Setup. Battery Module is a battery power guage. It also indicates whether the Newton is currently running on battery or AC power. Calendar Module is a small month calendar, similar to to one displayed in the upper right corner of the Dates application. It can be configured to open Dates to the selected day when tapped. Clock Module is a time and date display. HeapStatus Module displays the number of bytes of frames heap that are currently free. Tapping the module will force a garbage collection and an update of the display. ScratchPad Module is a scratch pad view that can be used to jot notes or sketches. Its contents can be easily saved as a new note in Notes or cleared. Volume Module is a volume slider and indicator. Tapping the speaker icon to its left will mute the volume and lock the slider. Tapping it again will restore the volume to the level used before muting. Using NiftyDrop Modules ----------------------- To use these modules, you will need to install the module packages and make them active in NiftyDrop Setup.
